1. People... Things...History
''People... things... history'' started in 2002 and promoted the idea of ‘personal histories’ before ‘global history’. It highlights stories of different small objects that people keep as memory of a precious moment in their lives. The objects and stories collected along with photo portraits are the subject of an exhibition set-up by young people in Bucharest. The target group of this project is constituted mainly by highschool students in Bucharest.
2003 was dedicated to set-up of a network of volunteers that were familiarized with the project and started work in collecting stories and objects. The volunteer network consists now mainly from 30 students from different institutions in Bucharest. The preparation programme for these 30 students includes sessions not only on specifics of People...things...history project but on volunteerism, interculturality and NGO work.

2. Together: coordination of follow-up projects
'Together' project dealt with two main problems of students in Romania and Bucharest. By students we understand highschool students and faculty students for which the Romanian educational legislation stipulates certain rights from representativity to social facilities. These rights are: right of organization in students associations or councils, representation and part of decision making process in forums of decision of faculties and highschools, also at higher levels as in relations with Ministry of Education. Mainly the problem in Bucharest and generally in Romania is about how much these rights are respected. Project consists in information phase, 3 weekend seminars, 1 final meeting, and issue of 1 brochure.
A number of 10 project ideas emerged as a result of seminar discussions and they were taken under the organization’s coordination. The initiative groups were introduced into a program of training and initiation in project management and started now the search for funds and implementation of their projects. These projects cover issues from student councils reprezentativity to cultural initiatives such as the set-up of a theatre street performance.
'Together' project was realized by Anca-Ruxandra Pandea, with the financial support of Schueler Helfen Leben. SHL is not responsible for the content of the project.
